Visconti Van Gogh"Starry night"fountain pen
Item no: KP12-O4-FPF
The Van Gogh collection made an important contribution to Visconti's name recognition during the first years of this century. At the end of 2009, Visconti decided to phase out this series of pens and release a completely new version in 2011.
The pen has been redesigned. The colors used are a tribute to the work of the impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh. For this collection, Visconti was inspired by specific paintings and not by the painter's complete oeuvre. Each color is a unique work of art and matches a Van Gogh painting.
The fountain pens, rollerball pens, ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils of Visconti's Van Gogh 2011 collection are themselves paintings. They are named after the paintings, labeled with the name Van Gogh and packaged in a gift box with an image of the painting on which the pen is based.
A specific painting as a source of inspiration has led Visconti to compose the resin for the pens differently each time. The chemical mix of the resin creates unique color schemes that can clearly be traced back to the paintings mentioned. The first four series in this collection are based on Van Gogh's paintings The Starry Night, Bedroom in Arles, Self-Portrait in Blue and Sunflowers. ’.
The Visconti Van Gogh "Starry night" fountain pen comes with a steel A10 nib in Fine (F), Medium (M) or Broad (B)
