Inspired by the serene beauty of Japanese gardens, the Sailor 1911L Ringless Kyoto Garden collection invites us into a world of delicate tranquility and poetic reflection. It is a journey to a peaceful sanctuary where each fountain pen effortlessly transports us to the enchanting harmony of nature's countless shades. With the Sailor 1911L Ringless Kyoto Garden collection, we honor the serene enchantment of nature, gracefully captured in each of these exceptional fountain pens.
In celebration of Sailor's founding year, the 1911L (large) fountain pen combines an effortless writing experience with a classic design of rounded shapes. The iconic Sailor fountain pen features a glossy black resin barrel and cap, complemented by silver-colored metal details. Unlike the regular 1911L, the Ringless version comes without a cap band, giving the pen an even more minimalist look. The cap can be opened/closed with screws and can be posted on the back of the barrel while writing. The Sailor 1911L comes with a Sailor converter and two Sailor black ink cartridges.
The Sailor 1911L (large) fountain pen uses a 21k gold nib and has a cartridge/converter filling mechanism.
Sailor pens were founded in Japan in 1911 and were the first to produce fountain pens domestically. They have since built a first-class reputation in manufacturing the highest quality pen nibs, with all parts made in their own factory in Hiroshima. Their flagship collections are the classic 1911 and the boldly designed Professional Gear, all available with a 14k or 21k gold nib. The name Sailor comes from the British seafaring friend of founder Kyugoro Sakata who introduced him to fountain pens.
