Platinum Izumo Aka-Tame fountain pen (black-red)

The Platinum Izumo collection is uniquely designed with beautiful curved lines, understated without much embellishment, typically Japanese. The only visible hardware in the closed position is the sturdy clip. Due to its shape, the pen feels remarkably good in hand. The cap and barrel end are slightly tapered, just like the clip end.

Two basic variants are available, one made of ebonite, featuring a durable Urushi lacquer in three different colors: completely black and black with dark green or dark red Urushi lacquer accents.

The other one has a cap and holder made from a single piece of hard Indian Rosewood: Tagayasan, also known as ironwood, high-gloss lacquered or finished with matte lacquer.

The Izumo collection can be filled with patterns or the included converter. The 18k gold bi-color nib is available in fine, medium, and broad.

The fountain pens are entirely packaged in Japanese style in a box made of Paulownia wood, lined on the inside with green velvet. Inside the box, in addition to the pen, there is a case made of green fabric and of course the warranty papers with certificate.
