Pelikan Souverän M800 Black/Blue fountain pen

The M800 black/blue fountain pen is the second largest size in the Souverän series. The fountain pen is filled using a fixed piston mechanism, standard across the entire Souverän series. The entire mechanism is made of brass, giving the pen a bit more weight. The casing of the holder is unique in its kind and is manufactured according to a patented process, where raw cotton undergoes several processing stages until a thin striped sheet of cellulose acetate is formed. The nib is made of 18-carat gold with a rhodium mask. The familiar clip, shaped like a pelican's beak, is gold-plated, just like the other metal parts.
