Montblanc Meisterstück 'Around the World in 80 days' 2 solitaire fountain pen

The new Montblanc Meisterstück 'Around the World in 80 days' 2 solitaire fountain pen. The Meisterstück Around the World in 80 Days collection is inspired by Jules Verne's famous adventure novel. The Solitaire LeGrand Fountain pen in black stained wood is based on the second leg of the journey from Bombay to Yokohama. Wood is chosen to pay tribute to when Mr. Foggs saves Princess Aouda from being forced to commit suttee. The main characters in this part of the adventure travel on a majestic elephant, which is depicted in a cartouche on the cap.

The cap and barrel have an engraved pattern with Indian, Chinese and Japanese inspiration. The clip features a red lacquered diamond card suit and the cone is etched with a pattern inspired by Princess Aouda's jewelry and the card suits. The cap is embossed with the length of the journey, 25 days from Bombay to Yokohama and 80 days in total.

The writing instrument is finished with a handmade 18K gold nib garnished with the hot air balloon depicting 20/10 and 14/11:Mr Foggs will leave Bombay at 8pm on October 20 and leave Yokohama at 6pm on November 14
