Montblanc Meisterstück 149 platinum line fountain pen
Item no: 132103
The Montblanc Meisterstück 149 platinum line fountain pen. This Meisterstück size is the model to which Montblanc owed its "star status" for decades, long before Montblanc began releasing the consistent series of limited editions and other luxury accessories in the early 1990s.
The first 149 appeared in 1952, and the model quickly became a style icon with its perfect and timeless design. To this day, this classic Meisterstück 149 remains unchanged in appearance. Of the entire Meisterstück range, this 149 is the flagship, the robust ultimate notary pen from which the other Meisterstück models are derived. The Meisterstück 149 is not only a symbol of the ultimate signature fountain pen, but also an everyday writing instrument.
The barrel, cap, and body are made of black precious resin, and the trim, clip, and rings are now platinum plated for the first time! The fountain pen features a traditional fixed piston mechanism. The nib is 18-karat gold, and most of the nib is rhodium-plated (whereas on the gold-plated variants, it is exactly the opposite). The nib is engraved with, among other things, "4810", referring to the height of Montblanc in meters. The cap top features the white star, symbolizing the snow-covered summit of Montblanc with its six glaciers.
Every Montblanc 149 is packed in a gift box, containing the corresponding warranty papers.
