What makes this bottle so unique? By tilting the closed ink bottle, the neck fills with ink. Once upright again, the marble falls back and prevents the ink from flowing back. This creates a reservoir of ink above the marble, from which the fountain pen can be filled easily, even when the jar is nearly empty.

Groenmarkt emerald is named after the daily produce market found in the center of The Hague. On the Groenmarkt in The Hague, vegetables and fruit have been sold daily since the Middle Ages. The former town hall, the large church, and the city inn ’t Goude Hooft are all that remain. In addition, the famous Haagse Bluf, winner of the new city prize in 2001, can be found on the Groenmarkt.
