New from Platinum the # 3776 Century Black Diamond with rhodium accents, nib 14 krt. gold rhodium plated. The first 2000 pieces come with a special card with the serial number.
The number 3776 refers to the height of Mount Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan. The first 3776 models were produced by Platinum in 1978, this model became one of the most important cornerstones of this Japanese stationery manufacturer.
Platinum claims that the pen, filled with ink, can be stored for a long time without drying out, we are not talking about weeks, but a time span of no less than a year! An additional advantage is that the pin also behaves leak-free in a pressurized cabin aircraft.t.
The Platinum 3776 Century models are available in three colors; the simple black version or in blue or wine red transparent precious resin. The clip and rings are gold plated, the brand name and the # 3776 logo are engraved on the cap rim. The 14 kt gold nibs are made in-house, they are the same ones used in the renowned Nakaya Urushi pens.
This is one of the cheaper fountain pens with a gold nib, which still has a decent haptic.
The pen comes in a gift box with a pattern.
