Pilot Capless LS - Black fountain pen
Item no: FCLS3500RR-F-B-COF
The competitor of the ballpoint pen, the Capless from Pilot.
This almost futuristic-looking fountain pen has been around since 1963. The first retractable push-button version was introduced in 1964 on the occasion of the Olympic Games in Tokyo and it won the coveted High-Tech award the following year. Actually, this new Capless LS, where LS stands for “Luxury and Silent”, was supposed to be introduced during the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020, unfortunately these games were canceled due to the worldwide Covid-19 outbreak. The introduction of this pen in Europe will take place at the end of 2020, the Capless LS comes in a beautiful gift box with a bottle of Pilot Iroshizuku.
This new capless variant gives even more flair to the still innovative mechanism. With the push of a button the nib is extended and the pen is ready to write, one simple twist on the subtle fin at the back of the pen brings the nib back into the housing. A small valve at the nib ensures that the nib is stored airtight when the pen is not in use, preventing it from drying out.
This new Capless LS is available in completely matt black but also in a glossy lacquer version, these have rhodium accents and are available in black, dark blue and purple.
The Capless can be filled with Pilot ink cartridges or with the supplied converter
