In 1872, the 25-year-old Simon Tissot Dupont had a vision to create the most exceptional and personalized luxury items for the Parisian high society. Initially, S.T. Dupont started producing luggage and leather goods, after which the world's first luxury lighter was offered in 1941. In 1973, S.T. Dupont produced its first writing instrument, at the request of Jackie Kennedy, who wanted a matching ballpoint pen for her beloved lighter. Today, S.T. All products of S.T. Dupont are designed and produced in their own workshop in France.
