This special edition features numerous characteristics that directly refer again to Kennedy's life and work. The base material of the pen is precious resin in burgundy, a color that refers to Kennedy's famous Ivy League style and is inspired by his time spent at Harvard University.

All the fittings on the collection are champagne gilded. The clip is engraved with his initials; JFK. The three rings on the wide cap edge represent his three brothers; Joseph, Robert, and Edward. The pattern of these cap rings is also inspired by the footprints of the first steps on the moon, while his vision of sending a man to the moon is also immortalized by the engraving of the lunar module on the 14-carat gold nib. The double rings on the holder refer to his rank as Lieutenant during World War II, where he commanded a motor torpedo boat.
