Scribo La Dotta Studiorum fountain pen
The new hand-milled texture of Scribo La Dotta Studiorum fountain pen is inspired by and reminiscent of the wood used to build the porches of Bologna.
It is the arrival of students, attracted since 1088 by the famous Studiorum, that led to the construction of the famous porticos of Bologna:to give them a Domus, that is, a house, the upper floors of the houses were extended with balconies which were initially supported by wooden beams. Since then they have become intertwined with the history of the city.
When interviewed about his affiliation with the University of Bologna, Umberto Eco used the following words:“In my students' dissertations, I often found quotes from the theses that other students were writing at the time. These students wandered under the porches at night and went to bars to tell each other what they were studying. This is one of the most beautiful aspects of the University of Bologna:the taverns and the porticos”.
Only 219 copies of each color will be made.
The nib is available in 18 kt gold or a 14 kt flex nib.
The pen is filled with a piston filling mechanism.
