03. Akkerman blue - Akkerman fountain pen ink

The faceted ink bottle is distinguished by its long neck, which contains a glass marble. Akkerman fountain pen ink is suitable for any type of fountain pen and available in 31 sparkling colors. The ink colors have been given Hague-inspired names

What makes this bottle so unique? By tilting the closed ink bottle, the neck fills with ink. Once it is upright again, the marble falls back down and prevents the ink from flowing back. This creates a reservoir of ink above the marble, from which the fountain pen can easily be filled, even when the bottle is nearly empty.

Akkerman Blue stands for our family name, Akkerman. P.W. Akkerman, who in 1910 took the initiative to provide shoppers with stamps and later luxury writing instruments. Today, 110 years later, the third generation, Arthur Akkerman, is still in the shop with just as much passion and pleasure as Grandpa Akkerman in 1910.
