Under the semi-transparent blue lacquer, the writing instruments are provided with a hexagonal engraving, all other fittings are platinum plated.

The Blue Hour LeGrand fountain pen is equipped with a traditional fixed piston mechanism. The nib is 18 karat gold, partly with a rhodium mask with a special engraving, available as standard in fine and medium, but also in other writing widths on request. The classique Doué fountain pen models also have a specially engraved 18 carat gold nib, this variant can be filled with cartridges or the supplied converter.

The nib features the engraving "4810", referring to the height of the Montblanc in meters. On the cap end is the star in white mother-of-pearl, a symbol of the snowy peak of Montblanc with its six glaciers. The pen comes stylishly packaged in a luxury gift box, with the accompanying warranty papers.
