Montblanc Meisterstück 149 Gold plated fountain pen
Item no: 132111
The Montblanc Meisterstück 149 gold-plated fountain pen. The Montblanc Meisterstück 149 is the fountain pen to which Montblanc owed its "star status" for decades, before Montblanc began releasing consistent series of limited editions and other luxury accessories in the early 1990s.
The first 149 appeared in 1952, and the model quickly became a style icon with its perfectly timeless design. To this day, this classic Meisterstück 149 remains visually unchanged. Of the entire Meisterstück range, this 149 is the flagship, the robust ultimate signature pen, from which the other Meisterstück models are derived. The Meisterstück 149 is not only a symbol of the ultimate fountain pen for signatures, but also an everyday writing instrument. The barrel, cap, and body are made of black precious resin, while the fittings, clip, and rings are gold-plated (this large Montblanc 149 is only available in this version, black/gold-plated).
The fountain pen is fitted with a traditional built-in piston mechanism. The nib is 18 karat gold, partly with a rhodium mask. The nib is engraved, among other things, with "4810", referring to the height of Montblanc in meters. The white star on the cap end symbolizes the snow-covered summit of Montblanc with its six glaciers.
Every Montblanc 149 is packaged in a gift box, containing the corresponding warranty documents.
