The Montblanc Donation Pen Collection pays homage to world-renowned classical musicians of the past decades. De Donatiepen supports carefully selected cultural projects with a donation of 20 euros per fountain pen and 10 euros per ballpoint pen or rollerball.
This year's edition pays tribute to Frédéric Chopin, a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist. As a tribute to his admiration for the piano, the platinum-coated clip is shaped like a piano hammer. Known for his famous"La Note Bleue", the ink window of this Special Edition has a blue color. The ring of the cap contains the musical notes of Chopin's first nocture,"Nocturne in B-flat minor, Op. 9, No.1", which was published in 1832. The cap and barrel are made of black precious resin combined with platinum-coated fittings. The special gift box also contains a notepad with some musical notes from his famous nocturne.
The handmade 14K solid two-tone gold nib features a portrait of Frédéric Chopin.
