The Century model line is the most classic model of Cross. In 1946, the Century model was designed to celebrate Cross's 100th anniversary. Every year, new variants and finishes are released.
In 1996, the Century collection was partially restyled, with the main change being that the cap of all these Century models was given a slightly wider diameter. These slightly thicker models were named "Century II", while the thinner model continued to exist in most variations and was henceforth called the "Classic Century".
