Montblanc Writers Edition Miguel de Cervantes set (2005)

€2.066,12 EUR

Every year since 1992, Montblanc has been treating its many enthusiasts to a new limited edition dedicated to a leading author of world literature. This year, people all over the world, but especially in Spain, are celebrating the 400th anniversary of the publication of"El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quixote de La Mancha","The Ingenious Nobleman Don Quixote de la Mancha"(1605-1614) by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.

It is the first time that a lacquer finish has been chosen in the"Writers series". The Cervantes Collection has a tortoiseshell-brown lacquer, interrupted by gilded rings that gradually increase in size towards the end, like the blades of ancient Spanish windmills. Cervantes' signature has been placed on the cap in gold letters. The 18 kt gold nib is engraved with such a typical Spanish windmill. Nibs are available in fine, medium and broad. The basis of the fountain pen is again the 146 (LeGrande) model from Montblanc, equipped with a fixed piston mechanism. Due to the chosen material, this pen (just like the Jules Verne) has an excellent weight, slightly heavier than its predecessors, often entirely made of precious resin.

Three-piece set, fountain pen, ballpoint pen and mechanical pencil.
